Welcome to the home of the Active Transport Toolkit

The Active Transport Toolkit is a free mobile application that has been developed here in Nelson. It is designed to encourage and support active transport with the aim of getting more people out of their cars and on their bikes, walking and taking the bus freeing up our roads and our city and helping to create a more vibrant and prosperous place to live and work. This initial version focuses on cycling and helping people to navigate safely through our city as well providing a way that they can report problems while out on their bike. Users of the application can record their cycle trips and the council can use this information to help focus their efforts when improving cycling infrastructure.
